CHARITY

We are delighted to welcome back ‘Rockin’ For Tots’ to be our main charity.

About Rockin’ for Tots…
In August 2000, we lost our beautiful twin daughters at 36 weeks due to acute twin to twin transfusion syndrome. A truly devastating experience but as a way of dealing with our loss it was decided to hold a fundraiser in their memory with funds raised from the event to go to help purchase equipment for Simpsons at the Edinburgh Royal Infirmary.

In 2001, the fundraiser, held at the Haddington Corn Exchange in East Lothian along with a raffle and auction, raised £8,400. This was put towards the purchase of an EEG machine (brain scan) for use on premature babies in the Neo-Natal Unit at Simpsons.

In 2005, the first “Rockin’ for Tots” event was held at The Exchange in Grove Street, Edinburgh. Organising this time being slightly more difficult, due to the added distraction of two small children, but again, the event, prize draw and auction raised £6,500 to go towards the purchase of equipment at Simpsons.

In February 2015, Rockin’ for Tots became a registered charity in Scotland – Charity Reg no. SC045422.
One of the hardest things about losing a baby is you have so few memories. By organising these events, auctions, prize draws and appearances at other organised events, we create memories linked to our girls. To-date, over £45,000 has been raised and distributed to various neo-natal units and bereavement charities by Rockin’ for Tots.
Many thanks go out to everyone who has helped raise these funds and hope you will continue to support Rockin’ for Tots in the future.

In November 2020 after a not so great middle of 2020, the big cheque for £7755 arrived at Raigmore in Inverness to purchase a twin cot for the Special Care Baby Unit there. Gutted we couldn’t attend ourselves to hand this over but hoping to get up for a visit next year, covid permitting, and catch up with the Monsterfest 2021 guys while we’re there. Big thanks to everyone who bought tickets/raffles/auction items, signed stuff, donated items/cash etc and helped make this possible.fter a not so great middle of 2020, the big cheque for £7755 arrived at Raigmore in Inverness to purchase a twin cot for the Special Care Baby Unit there.
